POE TradeUX
Privacy Policy

Overview
POE TradeUX is a Chrome extension that improves the interface of Path of Exile 2 trade-search pages. The extension is designed to keep its settings on the user's device and does not operate a data-collection server.
Information stored on your device
The extension uses chrome.storage.local to remember only:
- Layout and appearance preferences.
- Whether supported interface options are enabled.
- Identifiers of stat filters, gems, and unique items marked as favorites.
This information supports the extension's user-facing settings and is not sent to the developer or synchronized with a developer-operated service.
Information not collected
POE TradeUX does not collect or store:
- Trade-search history, search text, or trade-page URLs.
- Path of Exile account credentials, authentication data, or cookies. The extension never reads, stores, or transmits these; see Requests to the Path of Exile trade site.
- Personal communications, payment information, or personal identifiers.
- Analytics, advertising identifiers, or behavioral profiles.
Access to Path of Exile trade pages
The extension reads and modifies the visible page interface locally to
provide its styling, filter, preset, and item-helper features. It runs
only on URLs under
https://www.pathofexile.com/trade2/*. It does not run on
Path of Exile 1 /trade/* pages.
Requests to the Path of Exile trade site
To label stat filters and search results with their official wording,
the extension requests the trade site's own public stat catalog from
https://www.pathofexile.com/api/trade2/data/stats. This is
the same endpoint the official trade page uses to populate its own stat
filters, and it is the only network request the extension makes.
The request is sent to the Path of Exile site you are already browsing, and your browser handles it exactly as it handles the trade page's own requests to that site — including any pathofexile.com cookies it would normally attach. No cookies, credentials, or other data are read by the extension, sent to the developer, or sent to any third party.
The catalog is requested only when a feature needs it, at most once per page load, and it contains only game data: stat identifiers and their display text. It is not stored on your device. Because these identifiers change when the game is patched, requesting them keeps filters accurate without bundling data that would silently go out of date. If the request fails, the extension continues working with less precise stat labels.
Sharing and sale of information
The developer does not sell, rent, or transfer user information. The extension does not use stored settings for advertising, credit decisions, or any purpose unrelated to its trade-interface features.
Retention and deletion
Settings remain in Chrome's local extension storage until they are changed or the extension is removed. Users can update stored preferences through the extension interface or delete all stored settings by uninstalling POE TradeUX.
Privacy-policy hosting
This policy page may be hosted by GitHub Pages. GitHub may process ordinary connection and security-log information when a visitor opens the page, subject to the GitHub Privacy Statement. The POE TradeUX developer does not use GitHub Pages to collect extension analytics or user-submitted data.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated if the extension's data practices change. The date at the top of this page will identify the latest revision, and material changes will be disclosed before new data handling begins.
